UFC.com released full details for its planned show in Japan in February 2012. The card is set to have a title fight between Frankie Edgar and Benson Henderson. Edgar is coming off an impressive TKO win over Gray Maynard, in a fight where he once again got rocked early and often, only to recover and defeat Maynard. As for Henderson, he is coming off a great performance over a top lightweight contender in Clay Guida.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will also be making his return to land of the rising sun, as he is set to take on Ryan Bader. Jackson is coming off a very lopsided submission loss to lightweight champion Jon Jones. Bader has since rebounded from a loss to Tito Ortiz by defeating Jason Brilz.

Takanori Gomi will be returning to action as well. He will be taking on Australian lightweight standout George Sotiropoulos. Gomi has been on a skid as of late, and this should prove to be his last chance to make any type of run in the UFC. Also, Hatsu Hioki will be taking on Bart Palaszewski, in card stacked with Pride legends and Japanese standout fighters.

In addition to the aforementioned fights, Cheick Kong will be taking on the resurging Mark Hunt in what is expected to be a heavyweight slugfest. As reported in a previous UrDirt piece, Jake Shields will be taking on Yoshihiro Akiyama in welterweight matchup and Anthony Pettis will be taking on Joe Lauzon in a lightweight bout.
