Ever since he made his first public appearance in front of the media last week on ESPN SportsCenter current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar talked about his miraculous recovery where he can in fact continue on with his fighting career, but had some things to say about health care up north of the border in Canada where they could not do anything for him.
In a previous interview with his former WWE cohort Paul Heyman on HeymanHustle.com Lesnar is very angry about being told to just talk about fighting instead of discussing health care where the champ says that he will talk about the issue whenever he sees fit.
Lesnar adds that he spent an entire weekend in a Canadian hospital in Manitoba where he said that they could not take a CT scan of his stomach due to the fact that it was broken and needed to be replaced.
Brock also comments that was never brought up until now and had he stayed there, he felt that he might have died if not for his wife, Rena drive him back stateside in Bismarck, North Dakota to help get him the treatment he so desperately needed.
After getting back to the U.S., Lesnar thanks Dr. Bruderer for practically saving his life and his MMA career as they were able to find the root of his illness/problem that he is here to talk about all of this today and let’s Heyman and everyone else know just how important this issue is for him.
However, still upset about how he was treated by Canadian health care, but does not have any issues with Canada as a whole saying that he loves being there when he gets the opportunity, but is not going to let this issue die down until he has been heard.
There is no certainty as to how many have gone through what Brock Lesnar has endured, but who could blame him for being angry about the whole ordeal, his livelihood and his love for the sport of MMA was at risk and wanted to make sure he got the best care possible. How would you feel?
