BROCK_5001[1]

Ever since he made his first public appearance in front of the media last week on ESPN SportsCenter current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar talked about his miraculous recovery where he can in fact continue on with his fighting career, but had some things to say about health care up north of the border in Canada where they could not do anything for him.

In a previous interview with his former WWE cohort Paul Heyman on HeymanHustle.com Lesnar is very angry about being told to just talk about fighting instead of discussing health care where the champ says that he will talk about the issue whenever he sees fit.

“I’m not going to shut up about this,” Brock stated…I’m an American. I’m guaranteed the right to express my opinion. And I’m stating it loud and clear, because I experienced something that I want to talk about. If I was a recovering drug addict, people would want to hear my story. Well, I survived something, and I went through –first hand–  the problems in the health care system, and I want to talk about it.”

Lesnar adds that he spent an entire weekend in a Canadian hospital in Manitoba where he said that they could not take a CT scan of his stomach due to the fact that it was broken and needed to be replaced.

Brock also comments that was never brought up until now and had he stayed there, he felt that he might have died if not for his wife, Rena drive him back stateside in Bismarck, North Dakota to help get him the treatment he so desperately needed.

After getting back to the U.S., Lesnar thanks Dr. Bruderer for practically saving his life and his MMA career as they were able to find the root of his illness/problem that he is here to talk about all of this today and let’s Heyman and everyone else know just how important this issue is for him.

“Paul, this is very important to me. That man definitely saved my career, and maybe even my life,” Brock said, “they took the CT picture,  got a proper diagnosis … and came back with a plan based on the information they now had thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment.”

However, still upset about how he was treated by Canadian health care, but does not have any issues with Canada as a whole saying that he loves being there when he gets the opportunity, but is not going to let this issue die down until he has been heard.

“This (health care) issue isn’t going away,” Brock declared, “and I’m not, either.  I’m not some dumb meathead fighter. I have something to say.  I still have my career today because of the United States Health Care System. Does it need some fixing? Absolutely. But the changes I’m hearing about don’t sit well with me, and I’m exercising my rights by speaking my mind.”

There is no certainty as to how many have gone through what Brock Lesnar has endured, but who could blame him for being angry about the whole ordeal, his livelihood and his love for the sport of MMA was at risk and wanted to make sure he got the best care possible. How would you feel?

By saying I’m not a dumb Jock then comparing himself to a drug addict is not the smartest thing to say

    • MMA math

I totally agree I dont care about actors, stars or celebs opinion on any politics you know why?

I Dont give a fuck I want to see Brock fight not run for office on health care reform

STFU your a meat head like you said STFU and fight so Frank can break your arm already douche bag

  • steve

not a Brock fan, but i agree with everything hes been saying.

  • Gogo-13

Look Brock has the right to say what he wants doesn’t make it the truth from all the Canadians I know they say the health care up there is fine

I do agree with Brock when he says our health care is fucked up and needs to be fixed especially when people have to go to Canada to get medicine at half the price they get it here

  • fausto

Brock’s view is that Canada’s government system is fucked up.

He forgets or doesn’t know that Canada spend half what the United States spends per capita. So his view is not apples to apples. Right wing media said the same thing the last 12+ months. Brock must watch fox news.

  • Chiggs

And Brock dont know shit. 1st off for fucksakes,Im Canadian, Im also partially disabled due to my back being FUCKED with Disk Degenerative Disease last 6yrs. I also Live in a SMALL(By US Standards) City, roughly 60thousand people So have had/and Still do, deal with Canada’s Health Care. If it isnt what it is, I;d be fucked Plan and simple, Ive Had TWO CT Scans and Three MRI’s among other things including monthly trips to the DOcs. Tell me, if I was Americain, How much is that costing me???? Here, besides my taxes, costs me nothing, save the odd Med or two. Add in the Spinal Epidermals, Cortizone and Freezing shots twice as well. I’d say Im looking at the poor house about now if I was stateside No???

K Secondly, As I mentioned here before, My mother has Diverticulitus. Was Diagnosed Here in the shitty little town/City not much different from where Brock is/was, She had to goto a Bigger City however for the Surgery, Which btw, Toronto has some of the Best Medical Care throughout the World. Once again, didnt cost her much more then the Travel Costs. So for Brock to Spew off his Dumb, Red Neck, Jock Ass Mouth an sayin its no better then 3rd world is Horseshit. Just like Brock, fuckin quiff. Freedom of Speech doesnt cover doucebaggery bullshit political lies an defamations unlike what he seems to Think. Go ahead Brock, put that inyour little NoteBook, I dont like your stupidy..fucker.

    • Rick Johnson

I HAVE to point out a quote here. “I don’t like your stupidy…fucker”. Sorry, that just REEKS of Irony. Chiggs, you silly, maple syrup chuggin’ son of a gun! Good argument, however, I have a friend that also has disc degenerative disease. Because she is unable to work with the condition, she relies on disability to pay for her care, which it does, and quite well, i must say. She can bend that back like you wouldn’t believe, son! ;)

but in all seriousness, isn’t it possible that Brock DID go to maybe, say…a LESSER hospital than the ones you are familiar with? You are correct, Brock should restrict his opinions to the matters that he knows first-hand about, but then again, maybe YOU do, too. Maybe HIS case is different than yours. Maybe your mother’s diverticulitis wasn’t as severe a case as Brock’s. Have you compared their medical charts and histories? Or are you blasting someone for having an opinion also?

      • Chiggs

Hehe Rick You shaddup mofo!!! :P Dont argue with my Opinions an go an bring semantics an such into it hehe. Sides doesnt sound like you typing that…too I dunno what lol, something. But ya know chances are could be a lesser hospital as Manitoba is a little back woodsy, just like Brock :P

As for the Diverticulitis an my Ma, they also took out a tumour the size of a Football caused by it, fuckin crazy shit that messed her up for damn long time so Chances are he was, no doubt fucked up by it, I just cant stand the homo and his dumb statements constantly. Hehe as for your Gal Pal, gotta be careful when bending her over bud, she might get stuck an locked like that for while…then again…:P
Seriously though, what do ya think some of the shit I listed would cost me Stateside?? I know be insane amounts as I had a buddy go down to Ohio(I think) an had an elective back surgery and it ended up costin him around 30g’s I do so believe, I could be off on the amount, but know its somewhere in there. Without a doubt thou, both Canada an States could/can probably lookin at changing things up abit, somewhere in the middle of Both I’d imagine.

        • Rick Johnson

hahaha listen here, man! i takes care of all my womens! so her back being locked up…i took care of THAT too…haha…that’s what she gets for lugging them big boobies around…

anyway. Where was I. Oh yes. I don’t blame you for disliking Brock’s antics, i can easily see how he can rub people the wrong way. But the fact remains: He is a BEAST. He will destroy Murrrr and Carwin and whoever else Mr. Silva puts in front of him. It’s foolish when people talk so much, they have to go against what they REALLY think sometimes. Like, as much as MMA Math loves Tito, I bet in a match vs…say, Spider Silva, MMA Math would pick Tito. You see what I’m getting at? People take away from Brock’s physical talents because he has diarrhea of the mouth, and that’s a mistake.

I have NO idea about the back surgery. But, I can tell you that if your buddy opted for “ELECTIVE” back surgery, no insurance is going to pay for that, regardless of where you are. And in Cana-duh, don’t you have a lifetime cap? So what happens if you have a rough birth, and you’re screwed from the start? Me, I have a job. I have insurance. I’m not on medicaid, or disability, or any other gov’t “help”. I work hard, and play harder. But honestly, I couldn’t care less about free health care for all, because I GOTSTA JOB, NIGGA! haha!!

You do raise a very good point though. both Cana-duh and the US need to change SOMETHING, this isn’t working. I have no problem with helping the less fortunate, please, don’t get me wrong. But I would like assurances that MY contribution to UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE!!!!! (echoing out) isn’t going to Fred McFatshit in Podunk Iowa, eating Burger King 3 times a day. Can ya feel me?

          • Chiggs

Hahha cant argue with that logic now can I :D …actually at a loss of words for once to respond with O.o Also is Pimpin really a job???

I know Pimpin aint easy but its neccasary so Im chasin bitches like Tom chases Jerry..you know how its done son..in my two tone ford explora!!! Ice Cube FTW!!!!

            • Rick Johnson

              it makes me wanna……creep….

  • Gogo-13

Rick and Chiggs make some really good arguments here and to be honest Narcisist should post these on the front page.
