It looks like the “Trilogy” bout between former light heavyweight champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz is possible for June 13, at UFC 115.
According to a report on News 1130, which MMAFrenzy.com found the coaches of the 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter will meet up after the show to settle their debt at the UFC’s first Vancouver event.
“According to our own Geoff Rohoman in the News 1130 Sports Centre, Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz could take place at the event. It will be the third time the pair face off in the octagon. Liddell and Ortiz are expected to fight at the conclusion of the 11th run of “The Ultimate Fighter” series, which debuts March 31 on Spike TV.”
Chuck Liddell has defeated Tito Ortiz in both of their two previous fights at UFC 47 and 66, by way of knockout. In their third bout it appears Ortiz may have the advantage of youth on his side, but Liddell is looking to prove the confident fighter his age has nothing to do with his dominance in their rivalry.
The timing seems right, so I do not doubt their fight could take place before the summer.
