Diego Sanchez

Wanted to know how Diego Sanchez looked a few days after his loss to BJ Penn at UFC 107? Now you have your answer, courtesy of Dana White who just posted this on Twitter with the title “Warrior!”

While Diego did not take home the lightweight title, he took home a ton of respect for his efforts and for not quiting.  I am sure we will see him back in the Octagon soon and his loss should help him grow.

As you can see the cut he recieved from a head kick by BJ Penn is already beginning to heal, but looks like it will be a scar.

Yea, but you should see the other guy! Oh wait no, the other guy looks like he wasn’t even in a fight. Penn didn’t have a scratch on him. You suck Diego, thx for losing me 120 bux.

    • Rick Johnson

In all fairness, Diego didn’t lose you the money. You did. Your fault for betting against BJ, “brah” haha BJ is a beast, people forget that! not a single successful takedown according to FightMetrics…BJ with Marinovich training him is baaaaad for business…

    • BEASTformEast

Its your fault for you losing money, and Diego does not suck he is far from sucking. You forgot who his opponent was, Bj Penn…. your the dumbass who bet against a machine like BJ, BJ is the best lightweight ever! Diego needs much work to fight such greatness… don’t blame Diego he did his best and he is a machine himself it just takes more to beat BJ get it straight!

    • Tyson

What the fuck did you bet on Diego sanchez for? He never stood a chance. Your probably betting on hardy to beat GSP to.

  • Heartlesskillah

i couldnt agree more with rick’s comment. After the hype up in countdowns and the YES cartwheel every1 thought Diego was unstoppable n penn was a washup.. dam retards ;)

  • emorej

he kinda reminds me of Pete Sell… anyone??

    • Hellboi

Yup but the Marvin Eastman one was worse

  • diego still the best

diego just had a bad match i still think diego could beat bj penn he needs to take this lose as reason to get better then he already is.n plus i did lose money to with diego but it was still a crazy fight regradless what the out come was DIEGO YOU ARE A TRUE WARRIOR

    • Rick Johnson

dude, he didn’t land a SINGLE TAKEDOWN, and only LANDED EIGHT, THAT’S RIGHT, EIGHT STRIKES. How can you say it was a crazy fight? That’s about as lopsided as Jenna’s fake tits… or, in fight terms, as lopsided as Tito’s fight against Couture. Shit, probably even MORE lopsided that that fight!!! Come on! Be real! Call a spade a spade, man! Diego is a good fighter, but at some point, realism needs to set in for these guys like Diego and Florian…they may be good, but they are no where NEAR BJ’s level when he’s training like he’s training. Marv Marinovich is making BJ into a straight killer, and respect is needed. Hell, respect has been DEMANDED NOW, as the last two punks that challenged BJ got their asses handed to them. Coincidence, that both those “punks” talked shit before the bouts? I think not…

@diego still the best Get off Diego’s nuts he got fucking worked. His gameplan sucked and he didn’t do shit but get hit a bunch of times. He’s already loss so I don’t think he’ll get any better from this loss. He’s a mid level lightweight just like he was at welterweight.

  • Rob

I totally agree diego proved himself to be a true warrior he didn’t give up after other fighter’s in the LW division would i think if he fights smart and trains with champions like GSP,randy couture, and or Anderson silva he will have the skills to defeat BJ Penn. To beat a champion you have to learn and train with champions.

“It is no secret that the best fighters in the world train with the best trainers in the world. In this clip, one of MMA’s top trainer, Greg Jackson, discusses Georges St. Pierre’s his training regimen, his character, the up coming UFC 100 and GSP’s win over BJ Penn.”

  • VINOTHECREW

NAH YOU HATERS LIKE SEEING DIEGO LOSE, BUT HATE SEEING HIM NOT QUIT OR GET KNOCKED OUT….THEN THERES THE FACT THAT THERES NO ELSE IN THE LW THAT CAN TAKE DIEGO ”NO ONE” VIVA DIEGO SANCHEZ
