After suffering a first round knockout defeat in his Octagon debut this past February the 6’11″ heavyweight Stefan Struve (18-3) has bounced back with two wins and has now been rewarded by the UFC as they re-sign Struve to a new four fight extension which will keep him around for a while longer and continues to impress UFC brass.

Fighters Only got the scoop where they report that Struve who initially signed to a four fight deal with the UFC, his new deal will be on much more improved terms in the process.

In his debut at UFC 95, Stefan ‘Skyscraper’ Struve was quickly disposed in a 54 second first round KO loss to fellow up and coming heavyweight Junior Dos Santos, but has since turned it around with impressive submission victories over Denis Stojnic at UFC 99 in June and most recently finished off newcomer Chase Gormley last month at UFC 104 to get to this point.

Now with Todd Duffee out for the December UFC 107 fight card in Memphis, Tennessee due to an injury, Struve along with Mike Russow have been mentioned as possible replacements for Duffee who was set to take on the returning Paul Buentello, but it is good to see the UFC is wasting no time in locking up their future talent for the next couple of years to come.
