StrikeForce “Carano vs Cyborg” will be the first major televised MMA event to have a Women’s main event title bout. Gina Carano will face off against Cris Cyborg in the the historic bout and URDirt.com will be updating live in the comment section so feel free to chat along with us.

- Wedum looks a lot better then when he was 4 months pregnant against Junior Dos Santos.

- Werdum after win: “I’m here, I fight Fedor, I fight Marlon Brando.”

Interim Lightweight title bout: Gilbert Melendez vs Mitsuhiro Ishida

Round 1
-Fighters circle Ishida goes for the first takedown, Melendez sprawls.
- Melendez’s gameplan looks to keep Ishida standing, keeps sprawling to stay striking.
- Melendez is picking Ishida apart on the feet.
- Ishida is battling for a single leg and finally gets it.
- Ishida has Melendez’s back, but gets up and slams Ishida.
- There is a guy who looks like Dana White who is Cage side, it could be the Vulture from Spiderman.
- Round closes with Ishida on his back and Melendez landing punishment.
- Melendez wins Round 1.

Round 2
- Fighters trade Melendez still winning standing,
- Melendez outstriked Ishida 7 to 1, in the first round.
- Ishida looks gassed, ear bleeding.
- Gus Johnson: “Melendez is cool as a fan”, Nelo says he sucks.
- Melendez is picking Ishida apart standing.
- Melendez lands the double leg takedown with ease.
- Melendez knees Ishida in the chest with 30 seconds left.
- Ishida is losing this one badly.
- Melendez win round 2 by far.

Round 3
- Ishida is being pounded from Melendez who is in his guard.
- Melendez is landing Hammer fists at will.
- Melendez takes Ishida’s back and begins to pound away.
- Herb Dean stops the fight as Ishida goes limp.
- Melendez dominates and looks very impressive.

Official result: Gilbert Melendez wins by TKO Strikes Punches/ref. stoppage, Round 3 (3:56). Melendez retains Interim Lightweight title.

Heavyweight bout: Fabricio Werdum vs Mike Kyle

Round 1
- Fighters trade blows in the center of the Cage, even so far.
- Kyle is winning the exchanges, until Wedum takes it to the ground.
- Kyle lands a Armbar, but it wasn’t tight and Werdum slips out.
- Werdum and Kyle standup.
- Werdum lands the Guillotine and it is tight ends the fight quickly.

Light Heavyweight title bout: Renato “Babalu” Sobral vs Gegard Mousasi

Round 1
- Fighters exchange kicks.
- Mousasi is in side control after slamming Babalu.
- Mousasi lets loose on Babalu who is on his back and ends the fight with punches.
- Mousasi makes Babalu go limp and stiff.
- Mousasi destroys Babalu.
- It wasn’t close the replay shows that Babalu’s head was trapped and his lights were out while his eyes were open. Creepy look from his eyes.

Official result: Mousasi wins by TKO (Strikes), Round 1 (1:00).
Gegard Mousasi is the new Light Heavyweight champion.

Main event, Women’s title bout: Gina Carano vs Cris Cyborg

- Crowd is going crazy for these two.

-Round 1:

- Cyborg slams Carano, but Gina lands on top.
- Cyborg gets Carano is a leg lock off her back.
- Carano and Cyborg exchange strikes both are swinging wild.
- A lot of energy used by both fighters.
- Both fighters look tired already throwing strikes.
- Carano is being overpowered when the two clinch.
- Cyborg is making sure Carano feels here weight and constantly clinching.
- Cyborg takes Carano down, lands in side mount.
- Cyborg applies a Americana, but Carano escapes.
- Cyborg lands punches as the 1st round closes.
- Straight punches from the top, Cyborg punishes Carano and the crowd is booing.
- Josh Rosenthal steps in to stop the fight, but no official announcement.
- Confusion.
- Cyborg’s corner celebrates.
- Official fight is over Cyborg wins by TKO (punches)

Official result: Cris Cyborg wins by TKO (Strikes), Round 1 (4:59).
Cristiane Cyborg is the first StrikeForce Women’s champion.
