UFC 101 Trash Talk, Anderson Silva: “I guarantee you someone’s going to fall”

Anderson Silva must be tired of being asked questions about his last two performance against Thales Leites and Patrick Cote, because he seems confident that he is going to knockout Forrest Griffin at UFC 101.

In a interview with Mike Chiapetta from MMA Fanhouse.com, Anderson Silva talked about how he is approaching this fight the same way he approaches any fight.

“I think in my other fights I got in the ring, I was motivated and ready to fight also, and this fight, I feel the same way,” Silva said. “Every fight I’m excited and ready to go. I’m well prepared and ready to go.”

Silva also stated that he is hoping for a knockout at UFC 101 and is prepared for a standup war with Forrest Griffin.

“That’s what I’m hoping for. I hope he comes in there and we get to see a standup war for 15 minutes,” he said. “I can guarantee I’m prepared to go 15 minutes of a standup war and I guarantee you someone’s going to fall.”

I bet he does what he did for wild-swinging leben. lets him throw hands for a minute or two, then it’s on. I can’t hold his last two fights against him, i mean, Cote hurt himself running away like a good ol’ Frenchie would, and Leites wanted to BUTT SCOOT the ENTIRE MATCH. With an opponent who seemingly ENJOYS getting pounded more than Jenna, Silva is gonna rip Forrest apart.

@Rick Johnson, yep, if Forrest acts aggressive it’s gonna be Leben lights out all over again. I hope Forrset gets paid alot cuz his brain is gonna be damaged in years to come. Sad cuz I like the guy.

Yeah, I REALLY do like Forrest. It’s unfortunate that he has so much scar tissue around his eyes…I wonder if he can do what Nick Diaz did, and have that removed…I’d be inclined to think it would save his ass in more than ONE fight. But I don’t think it’s going to matter at all this fight.

@Rick Johnson, Forrest has to bleed some to start fighting..if he will remove the scar tissue itll take him more time to really start fighting..could bore you and waste air time..

@shahal, I tell you what. To watch someone enter a cage for the SOLE purpose of fighting, only to see them tap out due to strikes…is a waste of my time. Watching Thales Leites butt scoot, bored me, and was a waste of time. So if Forrest can’t fight without bleeding, well, i guess he’s in the right sport…i just can’t figure why he tapped to “rashad”.

@Rick Johnson, tapped? he got TKOed he was elsewhere as far as I saw by looking @ his face..empty eyes glare..he didnt tap..

And yeah..Thales Leites was boring as hell..thats why he’s in the undercard now..1 lose away from getting kicked..

His hand was flopping off of the mat, the ref was watching his eyes, JUST LIKE YOU WERE, and didn’t see it. Forrest said afterwards he was just flailing, he wasn’t trying to tap, but he sure as fuck was. If you LISTENED to the fight, you would have heard Joe Rogan even SAY he tapped.
