Is Andrei Arlovski close to re-signing with the UFC? Says he has “Interest” in the Mir vs Lesnar fight at UFC 100

Andrei Arlovski is a free agent since Affliction has decided to not renew his contract with the promotion. While there is no word where he may go next the likely locations are the UFC and StrikeForce. Arlovski may have to watch the Frank Mir vs Brock LesnarHeavyweight title bout at UFC 100, because if he comes back to the UFC he may very well end up in the cage with one of the two fighters. Arlovski did reveal in a new blog that his management is in contract talks with a MMA promotion.

In Andrei Arlovki’s latest blog he picked Mir to defeat Lesnar for the second time and unify the Heavyweight title.

“I think it will be interesting fight, at least for me because it’s Heavyweight fight, a title fight. Frank Mir he beat first time Brock Lesnar, but I’m sure Lesnar trained hard. Frank Mir had a great performance when he fought Nogueira and definitely it’s going to be very interesting fight, but I think Frank Mir has a pretty good chance to beat Brock Lesnar.”

Arlovski also made his prediction for the Georges St.Pierre vs Thiago Alves Welterweight title bout and the Jon Fitch vs Paulo Thiago bout. He called Fitch “Josh Fitch”.

“Hopefully Georges St.Pierre can defend his title.”

Arlovski also said he is in contract talks with “Some MMA organization”,but did not specify who he will sign with. Perhaps the reason he has interest in the Mir vs Lesnar title fight is because he is in talks with the UFC again. Dana White did say in past interviews that he felt Arlovski was the one who got away and was open to bringing him back to the UFC.

I guess we will find out soon where the former UFC Heavyweight champion will land.

He needs a can first before he fights for them his last loss was someone he should have beaten if he does come back he should fight Pat Barry or someone who likes to stand

@Tbag420, The only opponents Andrei should face are cans. I like the guy but let’s be honest he can only win vs guys who are sub top 50. Dana is picking up the lose fighters so that Affliction has less of a roster, Dana is smart by cornering all the talent like Kimbo & Adrei while Affliction is trying to do some sort of faux cool fighters which is gonna kill them for cutting out the much needed variety which is the spice of life. Affliction is going down. Atencio “Attention” the owner of affliction has no business sense for running an mma promotion & after denying Kimbo it is beginning to show. This guy is gonna lose tonnes of money in his failed bid to get revenge on Dana & IMO could lose his entire career from this fiasco. Living your life in bitterness is bound to ruin even the most powerful.
