Kim slated for UFC 100 return vs Jonathan Goulet

Kim slated for Octagon return vs Jonathan Goulet at UFC 100

A possible Welterweight bout is being talked about between Korea’s Dong Hyun Kim going up against Jonathan Goulet of Canada for the historic UFC 100 that was officially announced earlier today by the organization for the month of July at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada as both fighters are looking to bounce back into the wins column at the same time.

According to a Korean website MFight News through translation with Yahoo the matchup is slated to be taking place at the July milestone card which will most likely be apart of the undercard portion of the event.

Kim (11-1-1) who was previously unbeaten lost in a very close split decision to Karo Parisyan back at UFC 94 in the end of January, a fight which many people thought he shouldn’t have lost to begin with and will now be looking to get back on the winning track with a fight with Goulet on deck.

As for Goulet; he was trounced just :33 seconds into the first round in his last fight to Mike Swick at the UFC Fight for the Troops card this past December and was offered to face Tamdan McCrory in front of fellow countrymen in Montreal, Canada for UFC 97 this April, but was unable to get medically cleared in time to accept the bout due to a knee injury. Now Goulet is also in need of getting back on the winning side of his record and possibly retaining his spot on the UFC roster as well.

We will keep you up to date on this possible matchup as soon as the UFC makes any official word on the matter in the weeks to come.

Props to Bloody Elbow for the find

Kim “BACK” on the winning side?! As far as I’m concerned, he’s still undefeated. First the judges ripped him off, to give Karo a MUCH NEEDED win, THEN after it’s all said and done, karo tests positive for 3 banned substances!

Why hasn’t that match been overturned yet? I hope they’re not going to let that stand, bad enough it should’ve been a win, but now to keep it at a loss even as Karo tests positive and is a known cheater!

That bum’s best days are behind him. Ever since he was too chickenshit to fight Hughes way back when, he’s been nothing more than mediocre at best.

His ass got KO’d by Alves and then he complains it was a short stoppage! I WAS a fan of his before he became a crybaby then a cheater to top it off!
The ref SHOULD’VE let that fight go on, shut up that armenian’s big mouth.

Who can forget his armenian tough guy persona to Nick Diaz, “HEY, BRO! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!!!”

Like he’s some kind of bad ass. lol. Yeah your a dude who should be riding straight back to back losses in the UFC and be out of the organization already!

Come on, he lost to Sean Sherk TWICE! AND Diego Sanchez. He’s not good enough to be in the welterweight division. He got beat by smaller guys who were just tougher and had more heart.

He should drop down to 155 too, or if he can’t make that cut, get the f out of ufc, he is NOT a top ww contender! Not anymore.

@Toby, no he said “Do you know who I think I am” Karo is a tool and he deserved to lose to Kim at 94 I will be happy to see him have that fight overturned
