Many fans felt that Lyoto Machida and not former Light Heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson deserved the first shot at Rashad Evans title at UFC 98. Apparently; Dana White has heard a lot of complaints on the issue.

Kevin Iole of Yahoo!sports told Dana White about Jackson’s injuries and the new main event for UFC 98.

“Rampage deserved the (title shot), but this is an awesome main event,” White said of Evans-Machida, which matches two unbeaten fighters. “A lot of people were complaining to me that Lyoto should have had the shot first. I think it’s going to be a great fight and Rampage can go get himself healthy.”

White said that Jackson still wanted to fight in the main event, but could not do it because of the injuries he suffered at UFC 96 against Keith Jardine.

We know that many fans actually made a lot of arguments that Machida deserved the title first, now they will get what they wanted at UFC 98 when he attempts to capture the belt from Rashad Evans.

Yeah, no thanks to Adolf White. If it was up to him, Quinton “Baby Killer” Jackson would’ve got the first shot, and Machida would be playing the waiting game much like Okami is doing with the mw title.
People can say what they want about a fighter, but if the guy wins and he’s up next, he DESERVES his shot…win, lose, or draw.

@Toby, he must hate that Okami keeps winning but can’t finish a fight
