AJ losses his appeal

AJ losses his appeal

Anthony Johnson’s appeal to get his loss to Kevin Burns overturned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission has been shot down. Johnson who fell to the floor after an accidental Kevin Burns eye poke at Ultimate Fight Night 14 in July, needed surgery to repair a detached retina. Johnson said he planned to appeal the loss and many fans thought the eye poke was intentional as well. It appears the Athletic Commission did not feel the same way as they told MMAFrenzy.com the following,

Keith Keizer said by E-mail – “Based on advice from the Nevada Attorney General’s office, the appeal was rejected due to lack of remedy,”

Perhaps the commission did not feel the eye poke was intentional and that Burns would in no way shape or form attempt to hurt Johnson. Anthony Johnson is probably better off moving on to his next fight which has been rumored to be Mike Swick, but both are coming back from injuries and do not have a solid return date. We will let you know as soon as possible when his return date is official.

Do you really think Burns did this on purpose? I dont think he is that much of a scumbag he looked like he felt bad about it too its not like he was celebrating about it

They should have a rematch atleast that was some bull they need to change the rules for eye pokes wins to no contests its unfair to fighters to take a loss by a weak eye poke

Why dont they go to the scorecards atleast that would make sense Boxing has that part right. Even though it was not intentional it should not be a loss

Burns is not a dirty fighter, he has broke his hand several times so Kevin uses an open palm laft hand punch. It was an accident.
